The event, part of the “Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series,” was originated by Dr. Edward Hellman, spine surgeon with Georgia Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinic in Tifton. “I am an avid runner, so I thought it would be fun to organize a 5K run and one mile walk that could also raise awareness and funds for three important women’s programs.” This year we have added a separate 5K race for runners and walkers with strollers so it will be a real family affair!

The course begins just outside the entrance of the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club inside Georgia Veterans Memorial State Park. It is a fun, scenic course.

• 7:30 am: 5K Run
• 7:45 am: 5K Stroller Roll
• 8:00 am: 1-Mile Walk

All races start ON TIME just outside the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club
Please arrive 45 minutes to one hour prior to your start time.

Packet Pick-Up

You can pick up your race number and goodie bag at the Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. on Friday

OR you can pick up your registration packet on race day morning at the Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club from 6:00 AM until 7:15 AM, but we strongly recommend you pick up your packet before race day.

Aid Stations and Potties

There will be a total of two aid stations spaced evenly along the course. Aid stations will be stocked with water, and a few cheering fans. There are potties at the start and finish inside the Retreat.
